Day 5.

Just a super-quick video today. We’re heading out the door in a few minutes to visit with one of our favorite farmers and then we’re off to the airport to pick up someone very special who is flying in to attend this weekend’s event!! Yay!!!!!!

At some point I look forward to sharing my thoughts on creating video posts but the basic re-cap is: Wow. It’s super uncomfortable and awkward and vulnerable and once you work through all that — It’s a LOT of fun! I’m so glad I did it!

Recorded this one with our flip-camera out by our barn…

One last re-cap on tickets etc.

Tickets will be available on my website until tonight.

Tomorrow morning you can buy them for $20 (cash/check only) at the Coastal Growers Market.

Then they will be sold for $25 at the door (cash/check only) as space permits.

$10 music-only tickets will also available at the door starting at 8:30 p.m.

Discounted hotel rooms, which includes pool, whirlpool, and a free breakfast, are still available ($89 for the night) — See my website for details!

Any other questions? Drop me an e-mail at erin {{at}} eringoodman {{dot}} com.

Happy weekend friends.

Day 4.

Still dark and dreary and raining, which is making me all the more grateful I have something wonderful to look forward to this weekend! I recorded this video in my kitchen by a big window to use as much natural light as I could.

Today I’m answering the top three questions I’ve received about this event…

What about the yoga? Why alcohol? And…Can I bring my kids?

Also, just a quick note about tickets…

Tickets, which are $20 a person, will be available on my website until Friday evening. They will be available Saturday morning at the Coastal Growers Market (cash/check only).

What’s left will be sold at the door for $25 a person (cash/check only).

Day 3.

It’s cold and dark and dreary and I really didn’t feel like recording a video…but then I remembered that cold, dark, dreary February is *exactly* what motivated me to create this event in the first place and that’s what today’s post is about.

So here goes. Bad light and all. Video #3.

Edited to add:

I guess I’m having some technical difficulties today. This video is working sometimes and other times error messages are coming up. I don’t know what’s going on, but I do know that I can’t spend one ounce of energy worrying about it. Way too much to do.

I’ll be back to try again tomorrow…

Always a little easier the second time through.

I literally recorded this five minutes before John left for work yesterday morning because he needed to take his laptop (which has the webcam) to work with him.

John kept the kids entertained and (relatively) quiet downstairs and I managed to get this one in just two tries — a major improvement from the 10+ tries my first one took!

Audio and video still don’t match up. Not sure how to fix that. Oh well.

Here’s a little about what will be happening Saturday night at the Second Annual Evening of Refreshment.

Remember back in December when I shared my first audio post, inspired by Heather Allard of The Mogul Mom and her first video post? And remember that I said audio was my first “baby step” and that someday soon, I would be sharing video?

Well…someday is today!

It took me like 10 tries to record this and it’s still totally awkward. But you know what? That’s what ‘baby steps’ are all about.

Oh and just so you know…the video starts (and ends) a few second before the audio so you won’t hear me for a few seconds.
