a carrot-top garden

Inspired by a sweet little garden I spotted at Lily’s school last week, I decided to plant our own carrot-top garden.

I was having a great time photographing my new creation when Quinn noticed it and took interest.

And apparently decided that my beautiful, Martha-esqe creation, needed a little adjustment.

Ahhh…yes. That’s much better, Quinn. Thank you.

Do you guys do the bean sprout in the plastic bag??? That was my FAVORITE thing we did in my class. The kids and I were so into it, it was the coolest thing to see. When it started to leaf out we’d plant it, and once I put it on the windowsill close to the blinds cord and I swear — you could WATCH IT GROW and wind itself around the cord.

It was like Jack and the Freaking Beanstalk. Amazing!

Edgar would have eaten your carrot-top garden then rubbed the dirt into his hands. I just may have to grow one if only for the photo opportunities!

    Bless him!
Loved your “do you need a hug “.It’s so hard when you feel tired yourself not to react to a childs tantrum, and then end up having one youself! and you think to youself “what am i doing?” I try to think ” peace be with you”(read it in “The cosmic ordering service” by Barbel Mohr) It really does make me think/behave differently. My children try it at school if they are upset with someone, they say it helps them to! xx
