Sunday Still Life is an evolving photo and writing project; an invitation to explore the beauty and depth of life through traditional still life composition and / or photos and words to evoke inner stillness and reflection. If you are inspired to join in, please leave a link in the comments.

It began with a little whisper of a wish last spring.

Wouldn’t it be nice to create a yoga retreat for mothers and daughters, a time to step out of the busy of our days and just be together.

Never did I imagine that we would fill the room wall-to-wall with yoga mats.

More than two dozen beautiful Yoginis breathing, stretching, giggling, dancing, drawing, writing and connecting.

I could have spent all day with these beautiful shining lights — and perhaps some day we’ll do just that — but for now I am incredibly grateful for our two hours together.
