lily’s view :: feel the love

in lily's view, nurturing creativity

As I sit at my art table, I feel like should draw a picture for this week. What should this picture be about? “Tuesday,” is what I thought. Valentine’s Day made me think of this. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Lily’s view :: Goodnight Lily

by eringoodman on February 2, 2012

in lily's view, nurturing creativity

Every night I go to bed at 7 o’clock.

Papa tucks me in and says “Goodnight, my sweet Lily.”

My favorite thing to do before bed is color.

Usually I don’t think I am very tired…

but I always fall fast asleep.

And when I do I dream about my pets.

In the morning I wake up rested and ready for a fun day.

But then when the clock says 7:00 p.m. I know it’s time for bed again.

“Goodnight my sweet Lily,” my Papa says.

A Note from Lily: I made this book using a fill-in-the-blank story in Mouse Cookies & More.

it’s about peace

by eringoodman on January 26, 2012

in events, lily's view, living our dreams, peace

If you visit this space regularly you know that on Thursdays I usually turn the blogging reins over to my daughter Lily.

This week, however, as I settle back in from Yoga4Classrooms training and count down to The 10-Day Family Re-Charge (a.k.a. my first online program!!), I was planning to tell my sweet girl that I needed to hold off on sharing her art this week.

And then Lily showed me what she had created.

I’m pretty sure I gasped a little as she handed it to me.

As I write this there are over 100 people — parents, aunties and grandparents — signed up to spend the first part of February Re-Charging with their families.

And I’m finding myself totally in awe of this whole process, which less than a month ago was just a “Wouldn’t it be nice…” idea dancing around in my heart, as I receive registrations from people as far away as Australia and New Zealand.

Lily’s drawing reminded me just how connected we all are and what this work I am called to do is all about.

And so, without further ado, I present to you the Contributor Line-up for The 10-Day Family Re-Charge, which begins February 4.

lily’s view :: enjoy the snow

by eringoodman on January 18, 2012

in lily's view

My favorite contributor is here a day early (as I will be sharing my latest podcast with you tomorrow!!!). Lily drew this picture several weeks ago and has been waiting (and waiting and waiting) for the first snow of winter so she could share it here. It was all melted by mid-day and was nowhere near enough for sledding or snowman building but alas, we did wake to snow on the ground yesterday!

Enjoy the snow while it lasts!

lily’s view :: morning messages

in lily's view, morning meditation

While I’m busy creating spreadsheets and outlines and folders (oh my!) to keep myself organized for the The 10-Day Family Re-Charge (My goodness! I am so joyfully overwhelmed by your response!!) my favorite contributor is back to share her art and words with you. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Monday – Breathe in peace

Tuesday – Look for love

Wednesday – Soar through the trees

Thursday – Follow the path to your heart

Friday – Find your part in life

Saturday – Find the gift of love

Sunday – Go through phases that end with love
