While I’m busy creating spreadsheets and outlines and folders (oh my!) to keep myself organized for the The 10-Day Family Re-Charge (My goodness! I am so joyfully overwhelmed by your response!!) my favorite contributor is back to share her art and words with you. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Monday – Breathe in peace
Tuesday – Look for love
Wednesday – Soar through the trees
Thursday – Follow the path to your heart
Friday – Find your part in life
Saturday – Find the gift of love
Sunday – Go through phases that end with love

We are a Waldorf-inspired, life-learning family supplementing our experiences with public school. In other words, we’re following our hearts, making it up as we go and doing our best to meet everyone’s needs. Our daughter Lily (7) needs to create art; I’m thrilled to share this space with her on Thursdays.

I am thankful for nature. And for my amazing teacher.
What are you thankful for?

I asked Lily if she would like to share any words about this drawing and she said there are no words. It’s just meant to be a soothing picture that people can look at to feel peaceful inside.
So there you go. Wishing you a peaceful Thursday.

A quick note from Erin: We are still navigating our way through the level of online interactivity that is safe, appropriate and healthy for a seven-year-old, so I appreciate your understanding as we figure out when and how Lily (or I) might respond to your lovely and thoughtful comments and questions. In the meantime, I have been sharing a summary of your comments with Lily each week and she very much appreciates your words.

Here in this picture you see me sitting on a mossy hill with my chickens.
The chicken, the one right next to me, her name is Beautiful. She is my favorite. The chicken next to Beautiful, to the left, that chicken is one of our new chickens. It doesn’t have a name yet. And the chicken sitting next to it is Penguin, my brother’s favorite chicken. And then to the right, the yellow-ish-orange-ish chicken is Lovelace. She is a beautiful little chicken and I love her. And the chicken right next to her doesn’t have a name, just like the other one. The chickens that don’t have names are the ones that have another chicken that looks like them.
And that is just a few of my chickens. Thank you.
