It doesn’t have to be fancy.
It doesn’t have to look pretty.
All it takes is a minute.
To set an intention.
To ground the feet.
To breathe into the belly.
To gently move the body.
To say thank you.
To welcome the new day.
And what a difference it makes.

Thank you for this. As I freeze and talk myself out of moving. This is one of my favorite pictures of all time. You should frame this for yourself Erin.
i might just do that, hannah.
i have been so hesitant to take or share any photos of myself doing yoga because, ya know…i don’t exactly look like the beautiful yoga models in the magazines.
but i too love this picture. and i love my morning yoga practice. overflowing laundry basket, wool hat to keep warm, kids swirling around me and all.
…but does it have to be so cold? Sorry, Erin. I couldn’t resist with your snowy picture!
Ack! That’s carpet! I need my eyes checked. I thought you were standing outside at the front door. Wow, that’s discipline.
ha! love it.
it often is cold when i do my yoga (because if i go downstairs to tend the fire first my yoga time seems to evaporate) but not THAT cold. ;-)
:)
Oh, E. I needed this reminder so much that I’m going to print it up and clip in next to my bathroom mirror…
oh my goodness. i can’t even begin to tell you how happy this makes me!
so glad we’ve reconnected. i’ve missed you, my friend!
