erin barrette goodman grew up in a wonderful, loving, and decidedly non-musical family. she is a drop out of both flute and piano lessons and lived most of her life believing that she couldn't carry a tune and has no rhythm until recently when she began singing and dancing (in public!) - and loving every minute of it! with words, songs and photographs she will share her story of entering the magical world of casual music-making as an adult.

getting the most out of your csa experience - june 5, 2010

new to community supported agriculture? or perhaps you've been a csa member for a while but you still don't quite know what do with all that kale?

erin goodman created this fun and interactive workshop just for you! during this two-hour on-farm workshop, erin will share favorite cookbooks and recipes for local, seasonal eating, as well as tips and tricks for efficiently using and/ or storing your weekly harvest share. erin will also offer ideas for getting involved in the work (and fun!!) of the farm and sharing the csa experience with children.

filling the well: a retreat for mothers - may 15, 2010

every detail of this retreat, which includes gentle yoga, journal writing, tasteful treats, mindful crafting, mini-chair-massage sessions, a sharing circle, and a delicious catered lunch*, is designed to nurture, support, and celebrate mothers.  erin barrette goodman and sarah bell, moms and yoga teachers, have long shared a passion for empowering, inspiring and supporting mothers on their journeys. open to mothers of all ages, with children of all ages. teachers and caregivers also welcome. this is a baby-friendly event. newborns are welcome at the retreat and older babies/toddlers may visit at lunch.

celebration of local foods - april 30, 2010

erin will be one of five panelists at the second annual celebration of local foods at the kettle pond visitor center in charlestown, ri. she will share some of her thoughts on small-scale sustainable living, specifically small steps she and her husband have taken while raising a young family.

created on the aries new moon, a treasure map is a collage of images and words all about
you and the things, people, and experiences you would like to attract into your life. come to this fun and relaxing funshop with and open mind and a creative spirit and start mapping out the treasure-filled life of your dreams! 
free and open to the adults and children 10+. all materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own magazines / images. bring a bag lunch.

2nd annual evening of refreshment - feb. 27, 2010

beat the winter blues! enjoy tastings from berkshire brewing company, besto pesto, the reynolds barn (goat cheese) and susanna's ice cream, then dance to the feel-good music of the kc moaners jug band. proceeds benefit the ri community food bank and the coastal growers market.

ri birth network's third annual fall forum: when birth doesn't go as planned - nov. 15, 2009

hosted by ri birth network founder erin barrette goodman this forum will include the sharing of stories from several women who have experienced unexpected complications, and in some cases significant trauma, during pregnancy, birth and in the first year of parenting. 

as a group we will explore how a woman can heal - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually - when birth doesn't go as planned. we will also listen as these women, and others in attendance who choose to speak, educate those of us who work professionally with families during the childbearing years on how we can best support their needs.

return to center: a retreat for mothers - january 24, 2009 + november 1, 2009
join yoga teacher, writer, mother, and rhode island birth network founder, erin barrette goodman, for an afternoon of relaxation, fun, and supportive community. we will begin with a tea and chocolate social, followed by gentle yoga (no experience or special clothing required), guided relaxation and journal writing. we will then move into a sharing circle where we will speak (if we choose) and listen with open hearts as we share our experiences as mothers and women.
